Our mentors are experienced professionals who support, guide and motivate younger girls to help them understand their potential and reach their personal and professional goals. Mentors also benefit from ‘reverse mentorship’ by being in tune with the experiences and challenges of younger professionals.

“The Pan African Women in Health is a great initiative paving the way for the Africa We Want. I believe that through this initiative, we can improve health education opportunities for girls across the continent, mentor them throughout their health education and blooming career. Moreover, this initiative can help us, mid-career professionals, break the glass ceiling. It is a multi-pronged approach based on sisterhood and self-fulfilment through professional development.”
“I believe PAWH is the best platform for women in health since it brings together women from different countries in Africa. PAWH gives women the opportunity to network, brainstorm on different health issues and therefore create a space to connect. I am a proud PAWH member and through it I managed to secure some brilliant opportunities. I also stay updated on health sector related happenings in this world.”
“PAWH is an excellent opportunity to align with other powerful women to co-create core positions and similar key objectives for health. PAWH gives us the initiative to develop as a strategic partner with the African woman in health, I foresee this platform moving from strength to strength.”
“PAWH connects women in the health sector and supports young women in health, giving them access to opportunities and connecting them to those opportunities. There are a lot of young African women who just do not know what is out there and what is possible for them.”
“PAWH is helping us advance the position of women in health, empower women and develop the next generation of health leaders in Africa. As Kofi Annan once said “When women thrive, all of society benefits, and succeeding generations are given a better start in life.”
“I have experienced first-hand the challenges that African women experience on a daily basis, be it at home, work or in the communities. I am very passionate about issues affecting women in Africa and I believe that it’s about time that African women in health come together to discuss this issue and agree on the way forward for the continent. PAWH seems to be the obvious dynamic platform for women working in the health sector in Africa.”
